PVA BP-020

Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) is a synthetic, water-soluble polymer found in white or cream. It is dry, stable, toxic, odorless, and soluble in hot, cold, and hot water. PVA with 88% hydrolysis in hot and cold water and polyvinyl alcohol with 98% hydrolysis dissolves only in hot water. The higher the degree of hydrolysis, the lower the solubility in water. Lower hydrolysis PVA is used in the production of water-resistant adhesives, but lower hydrolysis percentages are used in applications that do not require water resistance.

It is used in the production of paper, textiles and textile industry during the production process and also to increase strength.
